I am a self-taught painter currently based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
I love expressing my inner world and introspection through my art.
I have lived and studied in Italy for 4 years, but then I returned to my home country with my family.
My work gravitates around transposing my exploration of abstract concepts and strong emotions into paintings. The themes I have been focusing on lately are polarity, subconscious, personal power, personal choice, love, light & shadow and the wholeness and complexity of the human experience.
I often think of my paintings as tokens meant to express freedom and inspire to evolve, to be bold, to better oneself, to explore the vastness within, to dare to live. The message I try to pass on with each of my pieces is that no matter the circumstances and journey we find ourselves in, there is a silver lining, hence my use of metallic color. My abstract figurative paintings show figures with closed eyes, to invite the viewer towards gentle introspection and to highlight my focus on the psychological and emotional processes that I attempt to capture and transpose into visual representations.
In October 2024 I had the pleasure of participating in an international art fair in Paris, at the Carrousel du Louvre. I have also participated in local exhibitions in my hometown.
I embarked in my artistic journey as an ode to exploration, authenticity, freedom and curiosity, and it has been giving me the chance to get to know myself better, make new connections, and share the love for this craft with fellow artists and art enthusiasts. Grateful!
